Trading Players
Do we oversee Trades ? You bet we do !
All trades are subject to the Commissioner's approval.
- One reason people play in our "pay leagues" is they want a reputable Fantasy
Football service that has integrity. Many so-called "free leagues" have owners
that do not care about their teams. Some of them have team owners that "secretly"
own 2 or more teams, or get a "friend" to temporarily join the league to build
up one "super team".
* Please note that it could take up to 24 hours for the Commissioner to approve or disapprove a trade.
(Note: Trades made on a Saturday will most likely NOT go through before the Sunday NFL games)
When we review a trade we look for the following :
- Collusion.
- Fairness between the two teams.
- Fairness to the league.
If we see what we consider to be "collusion", we will contact both owners and warn them.
If it happens again, one or both of them will be dropped from the league.
If a trade is blatantly unfair (i.e. Fred Taylor for Robert Holcomb) we will deny it.
Our normal procedure is to review past points scored by all players involved in the trade, how
long they have been in the NFL, and what future value each has.
During the season, we also take into account the amount of points each player involved
has scored last season, and so far in this season.
During the pre-season, we also take into account the amount of points each player involved
in a trade scored the past 2-3 seasons. We also take injuries into account if a player scored an unusualy
low amount of points in a previous season.
Note: We will always give more weight to Running Backs, as our scoring system is weighted towards them.
We also take a hard look at thier "NFL" status. Are they are starter ? Is a running back now sharing duties ? etc.
If you traded 1 player for 2, and now have too many, you must drop a player. You will NOT be able to
submit Waivers OR a Lineup if your Roster exceeds 18 Players.
We realize everyone "ranks" players differently according to preference, team needs,
favorite players, etc. This is why the trade does not have to be "even", just somewhat close.
Be aware though, we will ALWAYS listen to rebuttals from anyone that has a trade
disapproved. If you can both convince us the trade helps both teams, we will put it through.
- In addition, during the season, a player traded from one team cannot be traded from the same
owner back to the original team for 4 weeks. This is to prevent "collusion", and to keep Owners from
trading players back and forth weekly.
Note: You CAN make a trade offer involving the same player to two or more teams at the same
time. If more than one Team accepts your offer, we will process the FIRST one we receive.
