How does the Draft work ?

What Reports do you use ?
|
You have access to the reports at all times, and they are all
customizable.
Examples :
Standings, Franchise Info, Transactions, Starting Lineups, Head-To-Head,
Rosters, League Scoring, League Rules/History, Top Performers, Draft Report,
Bar Chart, Wkly Results, Starter Pts - Position, Starter Pts - Player,
Non-Starter Pts - Position, Wkly Summary, Free Agents, Injury Report, NFL Schedule.

How does our Scoring System work ?
|
We have a very fair system. Just as in the NFL, you must have a well
balanced team, and especially a good running game.

How does the weekly Free Agent selections work ?
|
There is one round of Free Agent Waivers about a week before the NFL season starts.
During the season, we process the free agents each Wednesday evening, and post the results
immediately. (you will also receive an e-mail as they are processed)
There are two rounds of Free Agent Waivers each week during the NFL season.
The selection order for Free Agents during the season goes in reverse order of the
current year-to-date record of each team. (tiebreaker = least points scored).
For Week #1, the order for Free Agents goes in reverse order of the previous year's final results.

How do I know what Free agents I got ?
|
We process the Free agents requests on Wednesday every week. The results
are posted instantly. An e-mail is also sent as the Free Agents are proccessed.

Can I play a Free agent selection the same week I request him?
|
Yes, you can.

Can I pick up more than 2 Free Agents a week ?
|
No, with the 12 team leagues size, you should not need to pick up more than
2 a week. You will have plenty of depth on your roster.

Can I change my lineup after it is sent in ?
|
Yes, you may change your Starters and backups as often as you like, right
up to kick-off time of the first NFL game each week.

What do the Rosters look like ?
|
Your Roster will contain 18 spots.
Your Starters are : QB's= 1, RB's= 2, WR/TE's= 3, K= 1, DT= 1.

Does the Commish oversee Trades ?
|
You bet we do !
All trades are subject to the Commissioner's approval.
- One reason people play in our "pay leagues" is they want a reputable Fantasy Football service
that has integrity. Many so-called "free leagues" have owners that do not care about
their teams. Some of them have team owners that "secretly" own 2 or more teams, or get
a "friend" to temporarily join the league to build up one "super team".
- In addition, a player traded from one team cannot be traded from the same owner back to
the original team for 4 weeks. This is to prevent "collusion", and to keep Owners from
trading players back and forth weekly.

What Prizes do you offer ?

Why not cash prizes ?
|
You have to be careful when you play for $$$. I'm sure there are other reputable Fantasy Sports
services out there offering cash prizes, but if you don't know the people running these
services, you really never know WHO is getting the big bucks.
Our engraved Plaques and Trophies are beautiful. And you'll still have your Trophy
in 5 years, but where will your "cash" prize be ?
You also have a choice of Sports Cards, Credit, or a Certificate.

What happens if a player doesn't play ?
|
If a player never plays that week (no carries, no receptions, etc.) he is replaced.
Unlike most stat services, WE automatically insert your backup players that you list.
(QB,RB and WR/TE only)
(note: Back-up Players are only used when it affects the outcome of the game)
We do the backups late Tuesday afternoon's after the NFL stats are official.

Does the league stay intact each year ?
|
Yes, it is very rare that we have to fold a league. All of our leagues are "keeper leagues".
That way all your hard work does not just go away when the season ends.
Before each season starts, you can "protect" 1 QB, 2 RB's, 3 WR/TE's, 1 K, 1 DT.
Then before each season begins, each league will participate in a 10-round Pre-Season Free Agent draft,
to include the NFL Rookies.

Who is Dream Sports ?
|
My name is Jim, and I have been a huge Sports fan all my life, and a big
Fantasy Sports enthusiast since 1983. I have played with many different services
over the years.
I started running local leagues with friends / co-workers in 1987. In 1988 I created
Dream Sports, and expanded to about 10 leagues. (we currently have over 30 leagues).
We could easily add more leagues at any time, but choose not too, so that we are never overwhelmed, and
can easily serve your needs.
In 1996 we put together our Web site, and added internet support for our Owners.
We maintain the web site 100% ourselves.
We are a privately owned company. Dream Sports consists of myself,
my wife, and 2 part time helpers. We have NO ties to any other big or
small corporations.
Because of this we can offer you personal and fast service. When you need an answer
or help of any kind, we WILL be there for you.
